This will be granted to non-migrants who live off their legal income or pension, with a foreign monthly income greater than US $1200. When the person in question travels with members of his/her family, he/she is to provide an additional set monthly income of US $500 for each accompanying party. This visa is granted for one (1) year, multiple entries. with the same permanence period and will be able to be extended following the approval of the Interior Justice and Peace Ministry, the applicant must show proof that his/her source of income is generated outside Venezuela.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VISA FOR PERSONS OF INDEPENDENT MEANS & RETIREES

  • • Valid passport with an expiry date of no less than six (6) months.
  • • Fill out visa request form.
  • • Two color photographs, with white background size 3×4 cms.(passport size)
  • • Legal attestation of the family relationship that exists with the person or personas who travel with him/her. (Marriage certificate and Birth certificate translated and with apostille).
  • • Legal attestation of the monthly income
  • • In order to request this type of visa the presence of the applicant is mandatory.
  • • Criminal record check.
  • • General health certificate
  • • Payment of the consular fee USD 60.00 equivalent in yen
  • • In order to request this type of visa the presence of the applicant is mandatory.
  • • If you are an citizen of the United States, please be advised that you will need to start the visa application process at least one month prior to your departure. In order to do so, you will need to fill up the ‘Application Form for United States Citizens‘ (Planilla para ciudadanos estadounidenses).
